Sécan Collaborative | County Hall Pottery | 2025
Sécan is a sculptural modular system consisting of ceramic bone structures and solid oak blades. Approached by County Hall Pottery, Pottery West asked Ben to work together to produce something new for the Collaborative Exhibition part od London Design Fair 2025. As a team we spoke about human existence, the common law of gravity, how massive objects can seem light, about ancient primordial space, and time. Their focus wasn’t on creating a product. Sécan means to ‘search’ or to ‘seek’, just as children play around with drift wood of bones found on a beach. Ben, Matt & Cat (Pottery West) had fun playing with these elements.
